😂 I laughed a lot..especially with your history facts that are not true. The Pilgrims went from England to Holland first. In Holland they had no restriction on there religious beliefs. But they found it hard to work & make money. They also found it hard keep hold of there English ways, so they then made the journey from Holland to America in hope of finding both these things. Should be noted that Native Americans celebrated a type of thanksgiving way before the Pilgrims arrival, where they celebrated the new harvest. I think there is history of the French & Spanish celebrating a type of Thanksgiving with Native Americans before the Pilgrims sailed in to take the glory. Lastly as I’m beginning to really not like myself for typing this all out. Neither America or England invented the car. Think the the French invented a steam one back in the 1700s. First production car was invented by Mr Benz. I’m gonna go & have a shower now..as I hate myself but I had to type this out..

I love you Colin but I'm from California and went to elementary school in the early 2000s and they focused on the Thanksgiving dinner and the deaths were a footnote. It's for sure a case-by-case basis but the fact that I'm from California and they leapfrogged over that says a lot

Finnigans wake is a 500 page crossword clue. I did my senior thesis on Ulysses and even that book is highlyl unreadable in certain parts. You basically need to speak 10 languages and be extremely knowledgeable about the western canon to even attempt Joyce's last two works. The problem isn’t the electoral college, it’s the ‘winner take all’ system. In the Republic they also recommended that public servants be taken care of by the state forever, but not allowed to own their own property; so their decisions represent the good of the people and not their own self interests, or for their families. If they would make those two changes, and publicly fund elections, you would create a much more just and democratic system.
