Honestly, when I first watched this film I just thought the entire thing was fucking cool. Having fun all summer, being with friends. But watching it now, I'm hearing how they have to pay for cars, save for tuition, get scholarships, and that shit just hit home 😂. The part about getting to work with your friends all summer is still cool though.

This was my favourite out of the trilogy. I was in the second grade when this movie came out lol. As soon as my brother and sister and me got home we had to prepare for this fucking premiere I was too excited 😂

How is no one talking about how Sharpay had her poor dog in a BLACK kennel (why didn’t she just carry her or let the guy carry her, no need for a kennel) and they put it down right in the sun without letting her out!! It was there through her whole musical number and when she came back she laid down, continuing to let her dog fry in the sun...wtf 😑

Whats kind of funny is scholarships are EVERYTHING to these upper middle class families. Troy's dad makes enough to afford that big beautiful house, which means Troy is going to get next to no financial aid through FAFSA and they dont have Sharpay kind of money to pay for tuition. They can probably afford to send him to college, but a few grand from working through the summer or a basketball scholarship changes the game. To some extent it is also a matter of pride, proving that their kid some how deserves the advantages they have because he plays sportsball.
